Events
Welcome Week features dozens of social events designed to help you meet other students as well as academic and informational programs to help you find your way on campus. More than 80 student organizations, academic units and departments put on more than 200 programs every year so there is something for everyone.
Tiger Walk
New students start their MU careers by passing through the Columns, a symbolic entry to the university. This is an event you’ll remember for years to come!

First Roar
A giant pep rally welcoming all new Tigers to campus. Learn Mizzou traditions and join in the massive class photo!

Academic Day
Friday, Aug. 18 is Academic Day. Colleges, schools and departments will host open houses and other opportunities for students to meet faculty and one another.
Paint the M
In 1927, Nebraska fans thought they were funny by making the rock M in the football stadium a rock N. Mizzou students quickly fixed it, and a new tradition was born.

Midnight BBQ
Open to all students. A live DJ, great food, and the biggest block party of the year. A great chance to meet and connect with new friends. Need we say more?
